The Copeland PTO Newsletter
President's Corner by Cree Sanford
Can you feel the sand between your toes and see the beach yet? I know I can!! I cannot believe that the end of the school year is just around the corner! This will be our last HSR newsletter for this year. We are wrapping up our many activities here at Copeland. We still have Multicultural Day for 3rd grade on May 24th, Copeland Teacher Appreciation week May 21st-May 25th, Fifth grade fun day on May 31st, and theend of year parties on June 1st.
I do not want to leave without first saying THANK YOU for allowing me to serve you as your executive board President these last two years! It has truly been an honor! I want to thank all of the many volunteers that keep Copeland running smoothly for all of our Colts. Volunteers like Cheri Villareal for our yearbook, Selina Saucedo for the SRC and school supplies, Tracey Reynolds for our Copeland Garden, M’Lissa “Lovey” Kelly and her crew forHospitality, Amanda Ball for spirit wear, Betsy Bailey for the library, LaToi Gillyard and her crew for music, Crystal Beard for Spirit Cart, and a host of other fabulous liaisons, chairmen and HRC’s who keep our school running and keep our programs strong!! These are just a few of the fabulous volunteers that Copeland relies on throughout the year to keep all of our great traditions going.
Along with all of these lovely ladies, your Executive PTO board has really done an amazing job this last year. From our many dances to movie night to fall field days and soooooomuch more. So, thank you to Karen Thomas, LaKishiaEdwards, Molli Murray, Donna Schultz, Cynthia Miller, Amanda Ball and Hollie Tanguay. They are truly a phenomenal team to work with! If you get a chance to thank any of these awesome volunteers during these last few weeks, please do so…they deserve our thanks and gratitude!! I am so very thankful to have served with them this past year as well!
Our PTO Executive Board for the 2018-2019 school year was installed at the general PTO meeting on May 8th. Congratulations to each of these ladies!
