JAE is STEM-ply the Best!
Have you seen our new STEM Exhibition Hallway shelving? It looks incredible. Also, take a look at the grade level displays on the other side of the hallway. Each grade has a bulletin board that showcases the Engineering Design Process in action as students work on Project-Based Learning tasks.
During the month of December, students will be engaged in STEM tasks throughout the building. Elfis, Barbie, and GI Joe are among the guests who will take part in classroom challenges. I can hardly wait to see what the students design and create.
We have recently ordered multiple resources for the JAE Makerspace Mobile Lab. Items such as K'NEX, Legos, Bristle Blox, Keva Planks, Brain Flakes, Goldie Blox, Squigz, Squishy Circuits, Picasso Tiles, etc. will fill the shelves. Students will have the opportunity to engage in creative construction and design. The Makerspace Mobile Lab will be a prototype that we will test with students to see which items are the most popular and most practical for student use. It is our hope to continually increase our Makerspace Mobile inventory.
Help for the Holidays
Please Follow Our Morning Drop Off/Car Rider Rules to Keep Our Students Safe
Please do not drop off and leave your children unattended before the school is open. It is unsafe for them to be unsupervised. The doors are unlocked at 8:00 a.m. As a courtesy, we supervise the children who arrive before 8:30 in the gym or cafeteria. They are dismissed to their classrooms at 8:30. The instructional day begins at 8:40.
Thank you for your help.
