Character
Character is a person in a story, poem, or play.
The protagonist.
Setting
Setting is the time and place of a story or play.
A tiny cabin.
Plot
Plot is a series of related events that make up a story or drama.
The narrator wants to go out to outer space but then again he doesn't want to leave his dog Laika.
Theme
Theme is the central idea of a work of literature.
Sometimes you have to think about not what's only best for you, but what's best for someone or something else.
Mood/Tone
Mood is a story's atmosphere or the feeling it evokes.
Tone is an attitude a writer takes toward a subject, a character, or the audience.
Sad.
The tone is like in between because he doesn't know if he should go to outer space or stay home and take care of his dog.
Point of View
Point of view is a vantage point from which a writer tells a story.
The point of view is coming from the protagonist.
