Mrs. Lamb's Corner ........................
Welcome to the 22-23 school year! We are excited to welcome our graduating class of 35!! Hopefully, all of you had time to rest and relax with your families and are looking forward to the school year. We have had a lot going on this summer. Our classrooms were updated with new cabinets and sinks, and our playgrounds are getting a full overhaul. Although they are still under construction, they will be ready for opening day. Westlake students are lucky to have a dedicated team working to make this a great year. Teachers and support staff have been working hard this summer to ensure the students have everything in place for a great year. We look forward to our students returning and working with all of our families. Below you will find information on our Back to School "Meet the Teacher Nights". Station 1: Food Service - As we are transitioning to post-COVID, we are moving back to paid meals based on your free and reduced status. Parents must complete information for Free and Reduced Lunch even if they do not intend to enroll in the program. We have to have this form filled out for ALL families before we give students their teacher assignments. Parents can do so on-line at http://www.lunchapp.com/. When completing this online, you will need to search for your school district. There will be 3 Lakeview School districts to choose from. Please select the one that says "Lakeview School District". We will have free and reduced forms at this station if needed. We also included the form with this letter if families want to fill it out earlier and avoid the lines.
Station 2: Teacher Assignments - We will have tables set up to collect free and reduced food service forms, then we will give families the student’s teacher assignment.
Station 3: Child Care - Child care will have staff available to answer questions regarding our before and after-school child care program.

Meet the Teacher Night Kindergarten
Wednesday, August 31st
4:00 - 7:00
We have a new start to the school year for our kindergarten students. During the first few days of school, they will rotate between our three kindergarten teachers ~ Ms. Ambs, Mrs. Husiak, and Mrs. Lennon. All students will have a chance to meet each of the teachers, share in activities and work on some initial assessments. Once we meet all the new students, we will be able to make teaching assignments. We do this each year to make sure all students are in the best learning environment. We know this may be causing some additional stress on parents these first few days of the school year. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
On the first day of school, we will have space set up in each of the kindergarten classrooms for the following items:
How your student is getting home - We will need to know how your student will be going home each day. We have bus transportation, car pick up, or walkers.
Food Service - As we are transitioning to post-COVID we are moving back to paid meals based on your free and reduced status.
