Choose Happiness
Principal's Message
Dear Parents/Guardians,
"Odds are we will probably be alright." - Odds Are by Barenaked Ladies
This week’s quote is brought to us by our 8th-grade science teacher and athletic director, Mr. Mueller. This quote is short but poignant and illustrates our happiness advantage which we have made part of our culture at O’Neill for the last two years. The happiness advantage is about changing the way we think, and how we can view all aspects of our lives through a more positive lens.
Thinking about being more positive can be overwhelming for some and at times can feel forced, but that is not what the happiness advantage is about. This quote is a reminder that changing our mindset doesn’t have to always be overly positive, but still see the light in any bit of darkness. Through anything and everything, Senators will be alright. As we highlighted last week, we will be alright because of who we are and what we believe in.
Senators will always work together. We believe that the support and teamwork that we have built will guide us through all challenges and students first will remain the central focus of our daily work. There is no better community than the Senator community and our future together continues to be bright!
As always, if you have any additional questions you are welcome to call the main office (630) 719-5815 between 8 AM and 4 PM Monday - Friday.
Have a great weekend!
Mr. Durbala & Mr. Cobo
