Book Review by: Thomas Bell
Gears of War:Aspho Fields by Karen Traviss
The secret Marcus has kept to himself for many years after the Pendulum Wars from his best friend Dominic Santiago about his brother's death Carlos Santiago. Leading into a new type of war between the mankind and extinction of the human race.
What I Like and Dislike About Gears of War: Aspho Fields
What I mainly like is how the book is a prequel to the video games series. Also how the book describes each individual characters background and what they did in their daily life before joining the C.O.G. (Coalition of Ordered Governments). What I disliked is that each chapter either flash forward to present time, then the next chapter would be about the past.
Would I Recommend Gears of War: Aspho Fields to other Readers
Yes, I would recommend this book to readers. Due to the fact if you don't want to play the game, but read the book series instead that is optional. I also recommend to play the video game series (if you have time) after you read each book to catch more information between each book. Since the books are both prequels and Epilogues.
