COUNSELING 411
January 2019
SCHEDULING IS ON SCHEDULE
Freshmen, sophomores and juniors will begin the process of meeting with counselors to schedule classes for the 2019-20 school year. Counselors will meet with students in small groups starting the week of February 4th and continue through early March. Scheduling will take place during SCIENCE classes. If your student does not have a science class, he or she will be contacted by his/her counselor to schedule out of a different class. All students will bring home a 2-part Course Request Sheet to review with parents/guardians. Please take time to look over this information with your student to discuss the classes selected; which will include the required classes for graduation as well as elective classes. Students should return the SIGNED yellow copy of the Course Request Sheet to his/her counselor as soon as possible. The pink copy of the Course Request Sheet is the student's copy and should be kept at home. *Students all have the same advantage for classes, the date they schedule does not put them at an advantage or disadvantage for classes. Courses are determined based on the total number of students that sign up for classes.

ORDER NUMBER 7 NOW
Many colleges and post-secondary institutions require that a senior submit a seventh-semester transcript. Seventh semester transcripts can be requested through Parchment
(www.parchment.com) and should contain first semester grades from senior year.
First semester grades should be posted to a senior's transcript in February. However, students do not need to wait until February to request his/her seventh semester transcript. Seniors can request his/her seventh-semester transcript NOW by selecting the HOLD for GRADES option in Parchment. Seniors that complete a request for his/her seventh-semester transcript after February 28th, 2019 should select CURRENT TRANSCRIPT.
