Families & friends are all invited to attend our winter holiday themed concerts! Children have been practicing during music with Ms. Menzia to put on a wonderful and entertaining evening just for you. And, you'll want to bring your cameras too!
Afterwards we will be having our holiday basket auction in the library if you're still looking for that last minute gift! Or you can keep it for yourself. We have themed baskets for dog lovers, movie nights, children's baskets, holiday cooking and much more! All monies raised will stay right here at Snowshoe to continue enhancing our music program! We would appreciate your support so much.
Parents - please have your students here by 5:45 p.m. to report to their classrooms. Band students should go right to the gym to meet Ms. Menzia. Everyone else is invited to take a seat in the gym for our performance.
MOVIE NIGHT - DECEMBER 7, 2018
Now Showing: "CHRISTOPHER ROBIN"
Snowshoe Elementary Gym
Doors Open at 5:30 p.m.
Order forms are still being accepted for our next movie night pizza meal deal! The deadline for taking orders is November 29th. Return the form to Snowshoe or go onto school cash online through the link on our Snowshoe website.
Come join us for an evening of adventure with an adult Christopher Robin, who is now focused on his new life, work, and family. Suddenly he meets his old friend Winnie the Pooh. Christopher returns to his unforgotten childhood past in the Hundred Acre Woods to help Pooh find his lost friends. Winnie the Pooh is a classic childhood friend to us all! All proceeds raised stay right here in our school so thank you for your support. See you at the movies!
Medication's on District Busses
THIS IS NOT ALLOWED... sending medications of any kind on a school bus with your child is dangerous and could have serious consequences.
Backpacks are forgotten on busses, child playfulness or even just innocently losing medications that can be picked up and ingested by another child is something we take seriously.
ALL medications must be brought to school by the parent in a pharmacy prescribed bottle with directions for administering them by the nurse. IF you send medication with your child, it will be confiscated and you will be called to the school. Please be mindful of the District's policy on this issue. Thank you.
Respecting Our Flag
Our Snowshoe staff and families are passionate about the proper display of our flags during school, holidays and in observance of tragedies that occur nationwide.
We work every year with our older students to teach them how to handle our flag when displaying it on our pole out front. Occasionally things happen but our students are quick to fix their mistakes. They are never allowed to purposely disrespect our flag and we encourage you to help us praise these young people on such an important early morning task.
Just Too Much Fun!
We have the BEST playground monitors and aides! Our kids just love the interactions and positive reinforcement that you're never too old to have fun! Even Mr. Moore has been known to get in on some play time.
And, now that our sledding hill is open, you might even find him outside having his own winter games competition. You just never know...
5th Grade Homer Trip
- Is your 5th grader going to Homer in April?
- Have you paid in full yet?
- Payment deadline is January 18, 2019
These are two of the biggest questions that you'll need to address immediately to ensure your 5th grader gets to experience this amazing trip with their friends!
You can split your payment in two on school cash online or make one payment in full. Any student who has not paid by the deadline above will be unable to attend. Contact Ms. McDonald with any questions or concerns at amanda.mcdonald@matsuk12.us
FAMILY NIGHT FUN!
We had an awesome time at our Family Game Night on November 8th! We had a great group of families show up to play some games or get tied up in knots with Mr. Moore's string trick! We treated families to some warm chili and treats for dinner for those that attended. If you missed this one, you'll have another chance to come to another family night after the holidays.
