Principal's Greeting

Greetings and Carver Community,

Hopefully everyone had a fantastic Labor Day weekend! On behalf of the faculty and staff of Carver Middle School I would like to welcome your to the 2019-2020 school year. We are very excited to welcome our 6th grade students tomorrow 9/3/19 and our entire student body Wednesday, 9/4/19!

We have a special day planned for our 6th grade students tomorrow. Students will report to the breakfast followed by the auditorium for a warm welcome to Carver MS and introductions by our staff members. Students will be dismissed according to their first period even classes. Students will meet with both even and odd day teachers. Students will have time to practice opening lockers, participate in team building activities, review key Carver MS expectations and more. Our students are in good hands and we look forward to greeting them tomorrow!

It was a pleasure seeing so many of you during fee day last week. We are excited to have a large number of parents who joined the PTA! Please use the PTA link below to join. We look forward to 100% PTA membership for the 2019-2020 school year!

Beginning Orchestra for 6th Grade Students

"Great News! If your student has ever had any interest in learning a stringed instrument, this is their lucky day. Carver's beginning Orchestra class has a few spots left! There is no experience necessary. If interested, please contact Carver's counseling department."

Message from Nurse Natalie

Hello Carver Cougars-

I am super excited to be returning to the Carver Family as your school nurse for the 2019-2020 school year! Some of you with older children may remember me as I was the nurse at Carver from the 2012-2016. For the last 3 years I have been serving Falling Creek middle school.

As a friendly reminder, please if your student has a health condition such as a life threatening allergy, asthma, seizures, diabetes or any other condition that may require care during the school day you must provide the clinic with an up to date health service plan for your student. Each school year a new plan is needed. Copies of health plans can be found on the CCPS website via the family> health and safety > forms link

http://mychesterfieldschools.com/family-and-community-engagement/preparing-for-school/student-health-and-safety/

Also, don’t forget to check with your doctor about immunizations such as the TDAP that are now required by the VA state law for all 7th graders. This is a change from previous years.

I look forward to getting to know many of you and your children this school year! As your school nurse, it is my privilege to support and advocate for our students, staff and families! I want every student to have the opportunity to be safe, healthy and ready to learn!

Please let me know how I can help you or your student!

Be well,

Nurse Natalie
