The Main Things
An MSD Family Communication that Cuts out the Clutter!
September 28, 2021
Mask Rules, "Devious Lick" Social Media Challenge, and Electric Cars are the Main Things with Bret.
Main Thing 1 - Mask Rules
We are thrilled our students are able to compete in sports and perform in activities this fall. Plus, our families and friends get to watch in-person! Please continue to follow masking rules during athletic events and performances. Masks are required for everyone at indoor and outdoor events, except the athlete or performer who is engaged in the high-intensity activity. Thank you for following the rules so our students can play and our families can continue to watch!
Main Thing 2 - “Devious Lick” Social Media Challenge
A social media challenge called the “devious lick” is going around on TikTok and Snapchat. It encourages students to steal things, like soap dispensers, toilet paper holders, microscopes, and more from schools. Sometimes these incidents turn into vandalism. Please help us by talking to your students and discouraging them from taking part in this challenge as they take away from our main goals of teaching and learning.
Main Thing 3 - Electric Cars
This year, some of our students will be learning how to build and operate electric cars! Thanks to a grant from Rogue Valley Clean Cities Coalition (RVCCC), we are able to buy three kits for our students to build the cars. Stay tuned for photos and videos of the progress!
