Come Work for 4J!
4J has many part-time and full-time school support positions open, including assistants in classrooms, cafeterias and school buildings, bus drivers and aides, custodians, nurses and more. Some positions offer part-time school day schedules or evening hours, to fit your life and responsibilities. You also can apply to work in a temporary position, or as a substitute.
Visit the 4J Virtual Job Fair webpage to learn about 4J’s school support job openings and what might be a fit for you.
Request Your Child’s Free LTD Pass!
There is such a thing as a free ride! All 4J students can ride Lane Transit District (LTD) buses for free. Students have been able to ride the city bus for free by simply telling the bus driver that they are students. However, starting October 31, 2021, students will need a student transit pass to continue riding for free.
In 4J, elementary and middle school students will need parent/guardian permission to receive a student transit pass. To get a free LTD student transit pass, fill out the permission form at this link https://forms.gle/N7wSZqmMkwFyB2268 or request a paper copy from the front office.
The student transit pass can be used to get anywhere within the LTD service area, including on weekends and after school. The pass can be used for the school commute, as well as for other trips. The passes are valid from September 1 of the current school year to September 30 of the following year and can be renewed by the school each year for ongoing free service.
Dress for the Weather
Rain is in the forecast next week and mornings are chilly each day. Please help your child dress for the weather when they wait lined up outside in the morning to enter the building and for when they go out to recess. This will help to ward off colds and illness.
(Repeat) Did you know Spring Creek Elementary has 3 imporant school-wide expectations?
Students have already started earning paper tickets called Hoorays, for meeting our school expectations. Students collect and turn in Hoorays for classroom and school-wide drawings for prizes.
Please talk with your student about what respect, safety, and responsibility means to them and your family and how that relates to our school's definitions of each.
Breakfast and Lunch Menus (Repeat)
Meals are free for all students this school year, no paperwork required!
