Harrison B. Quote/Analysis
Quote: "Harrison Bergeron, age fourteen," she said in a grackle squawk, "has just escaped from jail, where he was held on suspicion of plotting to overthrow the government. He is a genius and an athlete, is under-handicapped, and should be regarded as extremely dangerous" (Vonnegut 3).
Analysis: Show how they are scared of him because he has the power to take over because he is the perfect man. So if he gets the chance he can change the world back to the way it used to be with no more handicaps and the government doesn’t want that
The Lottery Quote/Analysis
Quote: “Mr. Adams said to Old Man Warner, who stood next to him, "that over in the north village they're talking of giving up the lottery" (Jackson 4).
Analysis: Shows how he is thinking about changing the way that they handle things in the town. Because it just might not be as important as they think it is and they lose someone they love every year. Plus blood pressure is risen cause to never know if you’ll get called.
