The wisdom you have gained over the years that cannot be taken from a book. How the ripples of your impact change lives of those you see and do not see for years are immeasurable. Soaring Above Others With Your Leadership

Leadership is always filled with challenges and opportunities. We are faced with distractions everyday that pull us from our purpose and core mission. Social Media has given others a free target to voice concerns that may not be founded on accurate information or truth and we as leaders must stay the course and model for others, “SOARING” above the fray. As leaders, you are the spotlight for others to follow and replicate. The video below may serve as a reminder and help you provide direction for your team who also find themselves in opportunities to Soar like an Eagle.

There are very few items more important than a strong, effective Governance team created between the Board of Education and the Superintendent. Each year the Superintendent and staff is evaluated on goals and objectives to help reach continuous improvement goals. Through the partnership of The Michigan Leadership Institute, we can assist your Board Of Education in an effective Self-Evaluation process. This process is based on national standards, is relatively quick and painless for each member. A trained consultant works with the Governance team to complete the process, identify areas of strength and potential areas of opportunity to develop throughout the year for the Board.

The goal of the process is to develop a highly functioning LEADERSHIP team.

If you are interested, you can contact any MLI consultant for more information.

NEW Partnership with Hulings and Associates Makes Us STRONGER for Superintendent Searches

MLI is excited to be partnering with Hulings and Associates to offer Personality / Behavior Assessments to help ensure optimal cultural fit using the science of psychological theory

and behavioral analysis. By identifying the behaviors, motivators, and influencers active in

your districts’s culture, the analysis provides you with information to assist with identifying gaps between the Board wishes and the candidate’s strengths. The Board can utilize the information to select a candidate, narrow the pool or help create questions. Together the team will work on the areas to form a stronger governance body. This creates a better fit and positive results for all.

You can also use this with your leadership team to strengthen your team’s effectiveness.

Sometimes We are Caught in Routines and Ruts..

When is the last time you tried something new or stepped outside your comfort zone to re-energize yourself or recharge your own battery? Have you organized any activities for your team to energize them, develop social connections, trust, and explore new experiences? Think about the power in new opportunities with high energy and the value of feeling positive.
