Our Optimist Student of the month for December was Reagan.
One of her nominations read: "Reagan is a joy to teach because of the person and student she is. Reagan is a person whose glass is always half full and others benefit from her positiveness. Reagan’s work is so much fun to grade because I love to see how she pushes herself to go above and beyond the expectation set for the assignment. As a teacher I cannot ask for a more optimistic and dedicated student than Reagan."
Our Optimist Student of the month for January is Shayne.

SRO Student of the Week
SRO Student of the Week: CJ!
"CJ is a wonderful 6th grader. I have enjoyed having CJ in my advisory class this year and after winter break, CJ took the challenge to try out the advanced 6th grade math class. I really admire CJ for jumping into a new class with new peers and absolutely rising to the occasion. I have seen CJ put 100% into wanting to know and learn math. He is always looking for ways to improve, is extremely respectful and kind to adults, and CJ really goes out of his to help others and make them feel included. I can't wait to see what else CJ decides to set his mind to because this kid is going FAR! Keep up the great work, CJ! I am proud of you!"
Congratulations, CJ!

I Matter
Colorado House Bill 21-1258 established this temporary behavioral health services program to provide access to mental health and substance use disorder services for youth, including addressing needs that may have resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic. The program is open to youth 18 years of age or younger or 21 years of age or younger if receiving special education services.
The program, called I Matter, is funded by the Colorado Department of Human Services, Office of Behavioral Health. The program provides up to 3 free behavioral health sessions for youth in Colorado and reimburses participating providers, which are licensed clinicians from agencies and independent contractors.
