The Newspaper Team
The newspaper team writes about the amazing events and leadership taking place at Pathfinder. We work together to learn about the work the student leadership teams are accomplishing. We then use our amazing writing skills to share with all students and staff on a virtual newsletter.

Teagan - 3rd Grade
Hi! My name is Teagan. I have been at Pathfinder for about four years. I am so excited to be on the first newspaper team.
Here are some fun facts about me. I absolutely love dogs and I have no siblings. Also, I love cheering for the Pirates.That is all about me!

I am Calvin. I am in 4th grade. Most people love my cool hair. I like to interview people for our newspaper articles. I also like to take photos of the neat things that are happening at Pathfinder.

Student Leadership Team Work
Bully Blockers
Bully blockers focus on making sure students feel safe and welcome. They also make people feel positive and happy. It’s a really good team. They also spread kindness through the school and help kids that are being bullied.

Girls of Grace
This team focuses on being proactive by building positive self talk.
Girls of grace sharpens the saw by finding balance in our daily lives.
They practice win-win by building healthy habits to use at home and at school.

Welcome to Pathfinder
Welcome to Pathfinder Team helps new students at Pathfinder by showing them around the school and what a normal day looks and sounds like. They help them when things might be confusing to new students. The team members work together to make the new students feel welcome and safe.

Safety Patrol
This team promotes safety throughout Pathfinder by standing in the hallways as students move to their teams. The team members are proactive and model safety measures as they patrol the hallways. If the team member sees a student meeting the hallway expectations the student will receive a safety patrol ticket to turn in to be entered in the safety patrol drawing.

Green Team
This team synergizes to make the world a cleaner place. They try their best to reduce the amount of trash and pollution by showing students at Pathfinder how they can use recycled materials in their daily learning. They also help our school by collecting the recycling tubs in each classroom.

Indoor Beautification
This team focuses on synergizing together to make Pathfinder a more colorful and cool place to be. They do a great job of fixing and updating bulletin boards, picking up trash, creating art for the building, and more. They make learning fun by looking at their creative artwork.

January and February Leadership Social
The reason we have Leadership Socials is because we have quality students that we vote for every month in our classrooms. We vote for them because they have been respectful to their peers and teachers. They have been doing their work and have been a leader.

Meet our Amazing Counselors
Counselor week is where we celebrate our counselors hard work and show gratitude. They show us students cool and new things.They also sharpen are mindset.They help go through tough times and teach us how to work through them. Our counselors are hard working! Interview with our Leader in Me Guest- Maria Fleming
Our reporters, Teagan and Dailyah asked our guest, Mrs. Fleming - "What can Pathfinder students do to be leaders?" Mrs Fleming said, "By being yourself, things you need to do to meet your goals, be a quiet leader and by being a positive example for others." A second question asked by our reporters was, "What good things have you seen at Pathfinder?" Her response - "You have some amazing leadership teams at Pathfinder. Each team is doing wonderful things to make Pathfinder even more amazing. I love watching you all celebrate during your student lead assembly."

Character Warms the Heart Week
Character warms the heart week is where every day of the week we have a different celebration. Either it’s a shirt, your favorite sports team gear, wear crazy socks, or wear your favorite hat! We also collect shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant and cereal. Character warms the heart week is a very fun way to collect items for our treasure chest and help those in need.

Friendship Party
The Friendship Party was hosted by our amazing PTA. It is a great time because you can sharpen the saw by having fun and eating candy!
