Mrs. Walters' News

Dear Bushnell Elementary Families,

Happy holidays from all of us at Bushnell!

As we finish this last week of school and close out what has been a very challenging year for all of us, we are hopeful that each and every one of the children and families who are a part of Bushnell know how grateful we are to serve you. This is a very special place.

I am also hopeful that when we return in 2021 we will have some SNOW to play with on the playground! Remember to send your students with all the cold weather gear they will need!

IMPORTANT! With school breakfasts and lunches being free this year, we have a much lower number of families who have filled out the Free/Reduced lunch application for food service. If you took part in this program or if you think you might qualify this year, please take the time to fill out an application at www.lunchapp.com. Our school receives Title 1 dollars based on the number of students who qualify to be used for staffing interventions, ipads and chromebooks, school social work, and much more! Please take just a moment to fill out the application. Thank you!

We would like to encourage READING over the winter break. Have your children spend just a few minutes each day reading or being read to. This will help their growth when they return in January!

We've had so much fun with your students these past two weeks. Their outfits and school spirit were through the roof! Thanks for helping encourage joy and silliness this time of year!

I wish you all a very safe, relaxing, rejuvenating winter break. Whatever you celebrate this holiday season, I hope the spirit of the holidays fills your household with wonder and peace.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Erin Walters
