STAR360 Update
Our beginning of the year assessments in Star360 have wrapped up and we hit 90% student participation overall. GREAT JOB EVERYONE!
Our middle of the year assessment window (MOY) is just around the corner and will officially kick off on January 10th. Because it’s harder to get students to participate in the second and third round of assessments, the admin and leadership teams made a plan to encourage students:
- ISWA will host a school-wide STAR DAY on Friday, January 10th. There will be no other instruction that day, just assemblies and homeroom sessions to help students complete their testing. Shelly’s team will advertise to the students leading up to this day.
- Students who complete both tests on January 10th will be entered in a raffle for a couple cool prizes!
- HOWEVER: Students who complete the tests BEFORE January 10th can get two raffle entries!
What we need from you: We’ll provide an informational slide to use in your homeroom on December 16th. This slide will advertise the assessment day on 1/10 and also explain how to get extra raffle entries by testing early. Please help everyone GET EXCITED and encourage them to participate on the 10th or take the assessments early. Once we’re back from break, we’ll have one more chance to remind the students about our assessment day.
DECA FUNDRAISER
Attention Soccer fans, ISWA Staff, Students, Family & Friends! Our student members in our Insight School of Washington DECA Chapter are hosting a fundraiser in conjunction with the Tacoma Stars for a match on Friday, January 31st.
Every ticket purchased directly gives back to our ISWA DECA Chapter to help fund students attending DECA leadership conferences, Area and State Level Competitions.
Here is the link to purchase tickets and please feel free to share! http://fevo.me/insight
The two ticket pricing categories with the amount that the ISWA DECA Chapter will receive are as follows:
- 22.00 – Center with $10.00 per ticket going back to the chapter

High School and Beyond Plans: Tri 2
New Tri 2 students will need HSBPs. The due date for HSBPs for new tri 2 students is Feb. 21. The link to the new form is embedded in the directions below.
We have noticed some teachers simply attaching the old document and/or following last year's procedures for logging completed HSBPs. Please be sure to follow the directions in the document below so that your data accurately reflects the completed HSBPs.
Thank you!
