*Safe Schools Day! Since we had a snow day the last time we were scheduled to have a Safe Schools Day, we will be having Safe School Day on April 20th. Please remember to wear maroon/white/silver(gray) as these are the colors of Stoneman Douglas High School. On this day, we will be taking a 17 second moment of silence in remembrance of the 17 lives lost in Parkland, Florida. We will also have events planned during lunch for students to ask questions and share concerns with school Administration and SRO, we will allow students to talk to counselors and review how to get help or share needed information with school personnel, we will also providing "pass it on" kindness opportunities where students can be proactive in helping others for the better! We want to be proactive in ensuring that our students are informed and involved in all issues relating to school culture on this day and every day.

Counselor in Leadership Training -YMCA
C.I.L.T. (rising 9th-12th)
The Counselor in Leadership Training program provides teens with a hands-on learning experience that can make an incredible impact on younger campers, while offering teens the opportunity to cultivate their leadership skills and knowledge in the camp setting.
The C.I.L.T. program is designed for teenagers who are highly motivated and who demonstrate the ability to accept additional responsibilities that come with the challenges of leadership. If you have a high school student who loves kids, this would be a valuable opportunity to build their resume and college application early! All applications should be received at the Y by April 20.
