Positive Office Referrals
Our staff has been working hard to recognize students who are demonstrating good character. We've been making more positive phone calls home, and we recently started writing students up! While that may seem like a negative, these "write-ups" are actually POSITIVE office referrals. Any staff member can recognize a student for demonstrating good character. When an administrator receives these positive office referrals, we call the parent and recognize the students on our Friday announcements. We have GREAT kids at Lincoln, and we want to make sure EVERYONE knows it!
Returning Student Survey & Early Enrollment for 22-23
We are continuing the process of making plans for the 2022-2023 school year, and we can use your help! Please take a few minutes to complete this 4-question survey to let us know your plans for your child or children.
Additionally, if you have a child who is not currently enrolled at Lincoln and who you plan to enroll for the 22-23 school year, be sure to plan to participate in the early enrollment period April 18-22. More information will be coming out soon. Be sure to let you friends and neighbors know about these dates.
Welcome!
Last week, we welcomed a new face to our Lincoln staff. We have a new cafeteria manager. Please join me in welcoming Ms. Nancy Provence to the Lincoln family! She has been hard at work learning the ropes from Ms. Boudreaux, and is doing a great job. Be sure to give her a warm smile and let her know how much we appreciate her.
Art to Remember - Order Forms Due THIS Week
Our school is participating in Art to Remember that allows you to purchase keepsake products customized with your child's art. There are over 60 products and many are less than $15. These make great gifts and a percentage of every purchase goes right back to our school. Click on the link below and enter the online order code shown on your child's order form or to search for your child's artwork. Then, have fun shopping!

Wonderful Volunteers Help With Big Project at LES
This weekend, we had some wonderful volunteers from the Montgomery ISD Education Foundation, Bentwater Volunteer Families, and LES staff who worked to create a pathway pf greatness for our students. On the east side of our building, under the awning by the car rider line, we have created a fun, colorful sensory path where teachers can take their students to practice some academic skills and have fun. Thank you to all who volunteered their time and efforts to make this idea a reality.

Montgomery ISD Education Foundation Hustle Projects
The Montgomery ISD Education Foundation is hosting its second annual community fundraiser, Spring Soiree, on Saturday, April 23rd from 6-11pm at the Old Community Center in Historic Montgomery. At the event, the foundation will be rewarding a campus grant to one campus and we would LOVE for Lincoln Elementary to win! Our HUSTLE team of parents will be working at the event, selling sponsorship tickets to those in attendance that want to support our cause. The campus with the most hustle will win! The good news is, the hustle BEGINS NOW!
On this YouTube video, you will see Mrs. Ashlock, explaining what we will do with the money if our campus wins. You can help!

- While you're on the link, go ahead and purchase tickets to attend this great night! Get a babysitter and come support our amazing district! It will be a great night of live music, food, auctions, AND MORE in the heart of our growing town!
- SHARE our video on all your social media platforms! Anyone can purchase tickets to support our hustle, and anyone can attend our event, so let's help our BEARS win an Outdoor Science Learning Center!!
If you own a business and would like to help the Education Foundation by being an event sponsor, the link provided also provides the different levels of giving, and you can purchase a reserved table for you and your neighbors!
Staff Shout Outs
Here are some recent special shout outs from our families:
- Mrs Torman is the best. She has made such a huge impact on ***'s learning. She is in constant communication and lets parents know how their child is doing. She is always available with any concerns or questions I have. We have had a great year with her!
- Ms. Ott goes above and beyond. She personally called *** to praise and apologize for a mistake on an answer key. She did not have to call but knew the impact it would have on ***. She knows and loves her students. We are so incredibly grateful for her.
- Mrs. Boyle, Mrs. Cheatham, and Mrs. Herzog go above and beyond to come up with unique ways to make learning fun!

School Hours, Attendance and Tardies

- School day ends at 3:40
We are working hard to maximize each and every minute our students are here. Students who arrive after 8:15 are considered tardy and will need to be walked into the front door of the building and signed in by a parent or guardian. If your child needs to leave early, they may be checked out through the front office by a parent or guardian.
Changes in transportation need to be made prior to 2:00 in order to allow time for the messages to be communicated with the appropriate staff member. To request a change of transportation, either
- Send a note with your child,
- Email LincolnElementaryTransit@misd.org with the note and a copy of your driver's license, or
- Come to the school with a copy of your driver's license.
