Congratulations to ALL of us for making it through a crazy school year. My favorite part of this time of the year is to see how Spring impacts our silliness and willingness to have fun. Being outside for PE and Enrichment has also added to some much needed relief from the sunshine. Now all we need is some warmer temperatures.
This past week, we completed the 8th Grade MAPS testing. Thank you to the students and staff for assisting in making this as smooth as possible. We will use our scores to assist in planning and student placement if needed for next year's math and ELA classes. The 7th graders will make-up their MAP testing on Monday and Tuesday next week. We had a little technology glitch, so we needed to postpone until we had the fix.
We have less than two weeks left before the end of the school year, and our teachers are finalizing their curriculum needs for the students. HMS will continue to focus on academics and structure. Our final cumulating activity will be our End of the Year BBQ and Husky Olympics. This is a HMS student and staff event only.
Thank you again for all of your support this year! Wishing you a safe and fun Summer Break!
