PHMS Announcements: Dec.2-8, 2018
2. Congratulations to the Wrestling Team for placing 2nd at the Leopard Duals meet on Saturday, Dec. 1. The next wrestling match is on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at Lexington High against Chapin Middle. The match begins at 5:00 p.m.
3. The PHMS Basketball teams will play at Irmo Middle on Monday and at home against Lexington Middle on Thursday. The girls’ games will start at 5:30 p.m.and the boys’ will start at 6:45 p.m. Admission is $5. Students get in for $1 with their student ID at Thursday night’s games.
4. The PHMS Art and Creative Writing Winter showcase is Monday from 6-7 pm. It will be held in the cafeteria and the Fine Arts hall. Come out and see what our PHMS Cougars have been creating this semester! Please enter and exit the building from the bus loop through the rear doors behind the stage.
5. Wednesday is a Collaborative Planning Day. Students will be dismissed at 12:40 p.m. and lunch will be served.
6. The PHMS Winter Dance Concert, “A Light in the Dark”, will take place Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. at the River Bluff Performing Arts Center. Admission is free.
7. Ms. McCartha's class will be collecting new gloves, hats, mittens and scarves for the Share the Glove fund drive. Please consider donating these items that will be distributed to Toby's Place. The deadline is Friday, December 14. See the attachment for more information.
8. PHMS is partnering with Toys for Tots to bring joy to those less fortunate during the holiday season. If you would like to donate any new unwrapped toys, please bring them to school on or before December 14. We will have collection boxes in the counseling and main offices for the toys. If you are looking for assistance during this holiday season, please reach out to the Salvation Army (803-765-0260) or Mission Lexington (803-957-6656).
