Thesis Statement

Summary
Quote Analysis
Quote: “The people of the village began to gather… between the post office and the bank, around ten o'clock; in some towns there were so many people that the lottery took two days and had to be started on June 2th.” (Jackson, 1)
Analysis: At this time they are being gathered there for the lottery. If citizens made laws they wouldn’t agree to kill a person once a year.
Quote: "Two years in prison and two thousand dollars fine for every ball I took out," said George. "I don't call that a bargain." (Vonnegut, 2)
Analysis: Harrison was taken to jail for being different and gave at that time an outrageous unpayable bail. If the government wouldn’t have sent him to jail then he wouldn’t of have tried to over throw them. If citizens had a say so in laws then it wouldn’t be a broken law to be different.
Conclusion
Citizens should be able to create rules by demonstrating getting rid of tradition and by creating diversity for their own community. I feel that Trump shouldn't be elected because he has said some crazy things, like immigrants have to be moved back to their original location. Personally if I could vote myself I would vote for Bernie Sanders because he has viewed some awesome things for the upcoming future, like going to college should be free.
