No School Next Week
We would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. We would like to remind you that there is no school on the following days:
- No School Monday, Nov. 23. This day was formerly an early release day but has been changed to a full nonattendance day for students for remote planning for teachers and parent teacher conferences.
- No School Nov. 24-27. These days are nonattendance days for the Thanksgiving break.
- Students return to remote learning on Monday, Nov. 30.

Spelling Bee for Grades 4-8
Return Library Books When Picking up Lunches
Library books from Sprague, Half Day or Daniel Wright may be returned when picking up lunches from the Transportation Department, 1370 Riverwoods Rd., Lincolnshire, located to the south of Daniel Wright Junior High School. Meal pick up takes place on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 4:30 to 6 p.m. When picking up meals you may drop off school library books and they will be distributed to the appropriate school library.
The national Summer Food Service Program, offered by the USDA, funds D103’s free lunch and now breakfast program. D103 is reimbursed for all meals taken by students. D103 is serving about 4,500 meals weekly to about 900 families through the remote and in-person lunch program. Please sign up to participate in the free remote meal program.

Spirit Wear in Time for the Holidays
Our PTO sponsored spirit wear stores are stocked with new items perfect for the holidays, and free shipping through Wednesday, Dec. 30. Check out new apparel, plus masks, as well as two brand new stores! We now offer District 103 gear and Leaders in Learning apparel for staff!
Check Out Teacher Recommended Book Fair
Check out the teacher recommended books on the PTO hosted Follett Book efair that ends next Monday, Nov. 30. All revenue from the book fair funds school library purchases. Stock up on winter reading materials and holiday gifting. Books will be delivered to school for pick up.

STEM Academy Offered by SHS Students
Welcome to STEM Academy! We are a highly accomplished online education center, dedicated to helping youth thrive. We offer five to seven week classes in STEM subjects for elementary and middle school students, taught by highly educated and gifted high school/university students. Our classes are free and offered online, as we believe all education should be accessible to everyone and anywhere. To register your student for a class, please visit the STEM Academy website. We update classes on a regular basis so check back regularly. Each of our classes begin on Friday, Jan 11. Space is limited, so reservations are encouraged.
