The Howell Marching Band was named Grand Champion of the festival and had a very successful day in many award categories. This hard working group of young men, women, staff and parents have put in an unbelievable amount of time preparing for the competition season and the hard work has paid off. 4th Annual First Responders Night Benefits Backstoppers Organization
The weather tried but it couldn't keep fans away from supporting the 4th Annual First Responders Night. Although the weather did cause many events from the evening to be cancelled the Howell community was able to raise nearly $1000 to be donated to the Backstoppers. Over the course of the past four years over $7500 has been donated to the Backstoppers through this yearly Howell tradition. Thank you to the many students, parents, staff, community members, first responders and the many groups that helped to make the evening possible. You can view a great feature by Channel 5 by clicking the video below that recaps the great evening at Howell and can also view many great pictures from the night below as well. Thank you again to all fans that help support this great community event.

Youth Spectator Guidelines Reminder
As we begin several consecutive weeks of "Friday Night Lights" the FHSD would like to remind all parents and students of our youth spectator guidelines that are in place to ensure the safety of students and fans at all FHSD events.
All students and children currently enrolled in the eighth grade and younger must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult to be admitted to or remain at the event. Students and children are expected to remain under the supervision of the adult that they are attending the event with.
Youth spectators as described above will not be admitted to the stadium without a designated adult. Any youth spectators without a designated adult will be held outside the stadium until their parents come to pick them up or accompany them into the game.
Accompanying adults are asked to maintain diligent supervision of those youth spectators for which they have assumed responsibility the entire contest. Any youth spectators found to be without adult supervision will be returned to the adult(s) they came to game with. If their adults are unable to be found, they will be held outside the stadium until a responsible adult comes to pick them up or accompany them back to the game.
