A weekly update from campus...
December 7, 2018
Happy Friday!! Our 5th graders attended Pine Cove Camp this week! They rode horses, canoed, zip lined, and did lots of hands on activities that reinforce what they have learned in the classroom. They clearly had the BEST TIME EVER!!! A huge SHOUT OUT to our Norris parents that CHAPERONED our students. We appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedules to join our students. Thank you to Ms. Newell for organizing and working with Pine Cove to make sure the week went off without a hitch!
Have a restful weekend!!

Staff Member of the Month
Congratulations to the Norris Staff Member of the Month, Cindy Weiss! This is the 26th year in education for Mrs. Weiss, our dyslexia teacher. Prior to joining Frisco ISD last school year, Cindy has taught in a variety of public and private school settings. Her experience includes 10 years as a Special Education Teacher, and 15 years as a Dyslexia Therapist.
A colleague who nominated her noted that Mrs. Weiss exemplifies the Norris commitment to be actively engaged and make our school an enjoyable place to learn and grow! She is a fabulous teacher who advocates for, empowers, and improves the quality of life for her students and all Norris students. These students not only gain knowledge under her guidance, they gain confidence for the rest of their lives! Thank you for all you do, Cindy!
