Monday Memo

December 21, 2015

Last week was definitely a week filled with music. Our 5th grade band and chorus concerts were outstanding. Katie and Beth, thanks for all the work you do to prepare for the concerts. The week ended on a musical "high note" with our Kindergarteners entertaining their families and friends with their annual holiday performance. Thanks to Pam, Donna, Jill and Savannah for organizing such a wonderful event for our students and families. The pride I saw in both students and parents this week was impressive.

We round out our "12 Day Celebration of Giving" this week with "Winter White Day" today and a salad lunch tomorrow. I hope that these 12 days of activities, along with the Secret Santa, have added some moments of joy to the past few weeks.

Our third graders received their dictionaries from the Scottsville Rotary Club on Tuesday. It is always a pleasure to see how excited the third graders are to get their own dictionary.

I hope that you have a wonderful, restful Christmas and New Year's. Enjoy your break!
