The Area 2 Conference allows vendors to demonstrate their latest technology-related offerings to the educators, technology directors, library media specialist, related service personnel, administrators, and decision makers from the 42 school districts, charters and private schools in our region.

November 1, 2016- 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm

November 2, 2016- 6:00 am to 8:00 am.

The actually conference time is 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on November 2nd.

Showmanship Award

This year we would like to spice things up and give out a Showmanship award. Our theme is "Rockin with Technology" so pull out your 80's attire and have some fun!!!!

Vendor Information

Vendor Booth Includes:

  • Exhibit space

Vendor Booth Information Registration Deadline:

September 26, 2016 (No refunds after October 10, 2016). If the completed Vendor Registration Form and fees are not received by the registration deadline, the vendor name may not appear in the conference program and is subject to a $50.00 late fee after October 3, 2016. Booth assignments will NOT be made until the booth fee is paid in full. We cannot guarantee booth space that has not been paid by the deadline. Late registrations will be accepted as long as booth spaces are available. Vendors will be able to select from the following Exhibit Hall booth choices:

6-ft Table Top Exhibit $300.00 Includes:

(1)6ft. table top, (2) chairs, (2) Exhibitor Badges, wireless Internet

12-ft Table Top Exhibit $450.00 Includes:

(2) 6ft. table tops, (4) chairs, (4) Exhibitor Badges, wireless Internet

Note: Wireless Internet will be provided throughout the exhibit hall and meeting rooms. Technical assistance for wireless Internet will be provided by the ESC-2 technical staff. Wireless Internet is provided on a best-effort basis. All vendors with their own wireless equipment are encouraged to coordinate with ESC technical staff to avoid wireless device conflicts.

Vendors must provide their own extension cords, power cords, and/or surge protectors. If you are bringing in large equipment and/or a large display, we encourage you to register for a 12 ft. Tabletop Exhibit. Booth assignment will depend on the size of the booth chosen and are on a first-come, first-served basis.

There can be multiple sponsors for the same event. Sponsorship will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Mini Session Description

If you rent a booth and are interested in also offering a mini-session at the conference, please submit the Mini Session Presenter Form below along with the $100 presentation fee. Please avoid “sales” oriented presentations during these 45-minute sessions. Vendors are highly encouraged to co-present with educators. All proposed sessions will be carefully reviewed and selected based on appropriateness for our conference. Applicants will receive email notification by October 17, 2016 whether or not their session is accepted. Presenters/co-presenters must provide their own computer systems, and any other necessary equipment and supplies needed for presenting.

Below is a description of the sessions that are needed in each of the strands.

Technology Innovation- Sessions will model new student technologies. This strand will focus on hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) activities.

Technology Integration- Sessions will model classroom activities that enhance the core curriculum using the technology application standards (TA-TEKS). This strand will focus on new technology tools available for classroom integration.

Technology Leadership- Sessions will address integrating technology at the district and campus level. This strand addresses social media legalities, blended professional development, and other technology challenges facing educators in this 21st Century.

Assistive Technology- Sessions will feature technology tools to maximize access to the general curriculum in the least restrictive environment. This strand will promote the integration of technology and highlight low-tech to high-tech student options.

Door Prizes

Vendors are encouraged to provide a door prize to be given away at the end of the conference. Please turn in your door prizes upon check in at the “Check-in Booth” when the vendor packet is picked up for booth setup. Please have your door prize ready with your vendor business card attached.
