Our Mission
We believe in the value of a diverse educational community; in a safe and caring environment where all children can learn.
Staff Highlight - Lainie Sacks - ASD Teacher
Mrs. Sacks is beginning her third year as part of the Walnut Creek Family, however she has been teaching for over 15 years. Prior to her time at Creek, she was a teacher in Chicago Public Schools.
Mrs. Sacks is incredibly dedicated to her students. Her patience, kindness, and continued growth as an educator serves her students, and our entire learning community well.
We are lucky to have Mrs. Sacks on our team!
NJHS Field Trip to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan
On Thursday, Sept. 12 our NJHS students visited the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan to participate in National Food Bank Day. Prior to their visit they held a food drive and collected 565 pounds of non-perishable food to donate. While at the foodbank the NJHS students sorted over 35,000 lbs of food! The managers of the food bank were impressed with how hard our students worked. It was a great day for all!

Picture Retake Day - October 17th
Any student who was at Creek Connection and wants to have their picture retaken must bring the old picture packet back with them from Creek Connection. Any student who would like to have their picture retaken is welcome to bring their packet back prior to picture retake day and we will hold them in the office for safe keeping.
Cafeteria Information
If your child is planning on purchasing their lunch, please remind them to bring their student ID with them to the cafeteria. When students have their ID, it speeds up the check out process and allows students to maximize their time in the cafeteria. Thank you!
Please follow the link below to access the September Lunch Menu
Morning Drop Off Time - 7:30 am
Parent Drop Off Procedures
Please only drop students off on the curb along the gym side of the building. Please do not park your car in the parking lot when dropping students off. When students have to cross through the parent drop off area they are creating an unsafe situation for themselves. This issue will become increasingly unsafe as the sun rises later in the morning. I have attached our parent drop off visual below.
