Alien Autopsies
By: Riley Davis
Research question
HistoryRay Santilli was born on september 30th 1957. And while doing research for a music documentary in 1993, he was approached by military cameraman who said that in 1947 he had filmed a crash, debris, the recovery and autopsy of an alien. Ray was intrigued and went to the cameraman's house to view the film. He thought it was remarkable, here is a description of the film Santilli saw. "White-coated men, using surgical instruments, poked and prodded at a corpse on the table in front of them. But this was no ordinary corpse. Its bizarrely shaped limbs and bulbous cranium marked it as not from this earth." ("Roswell 1947 The Alien Autopsy...", 2015) Ray offered a price, and the camera man accepted, it took Ray a few months to gather the money, but he eventually bought the film. Ray released the film to the public, and it gained a large following soon after. | Evidence In 2006, Ray Santilli revealed the alien autopsy video had been a hoax. But he called it a recreation rather than a hoax, saying the original film had become unusable due to heat and humidity, and only a few frames survived. He had filmed in a cheap London apartment, and had hired a sculptor to construct the "alien", and visited his local butcher's shop for the organs. Santilli also claimed that the frames that survived were imbedded in the remake. | Theories The cameraman Santilli bought the footage from wished to remain anonymous, and his identity has never been discovered, this could mean Ray made this man up. He was interviewed once with his face blurred, but no-one knows if it's really him. |
