His father was Georg Waldemar Cantor he converted to Protestantism and made and made his fortune in merchandising. Georg's mother was Maria Anna Bohm she was in love with musican's and artist. georg had one other sibling, Ludwig Cantor. Georg had a tutor from a very young age and attended primary school in St. Petersburg. Then when Cantor was 11 years old, his family moved to Germany. He graduated with distinction from the realscheule in Darmstadt in 1860. He entered the university of Zurich in 1862 then his father died so Cantor shifted to the University of Berlin in 1863. Then he proceeded to spend a semester at the University of Gottingen in 1866 and wrote his doctoral thesis in 1867. He married Vally Gottmann and they both had a kid his name was Rudolph.

Georg Cantor is famous for discovering and building a hierarchy of infinite sets according to their cardinal numbers. Also he's known a fundamental theory in mathematics.
