Mask Mandate for Harmony Public Schools
Dear Harmony Families,
We would like to share some important new developments in the effort to keep our schools and Harmony families protected from COVID-19.
This week, Harris and Fort Bend County leaders announced an Executive Order requiring all students, teachers, staff and visitors of Harris and Fort Bend County schools be required to wear masks indoors while on campus. The ruling is in effect starting August 16th, 2021, on all campuses in the cities of Houston, Sugar Land and Katy. The mask order applies to everyone regardless of vaccination status and comes after a district judge earlier ruled against a previous order by Gov. Greg Abbott declaring masks optional in schools.
Accordingly, all Harmony students and employees located in Harris and Fort Bend County are required to wear protective masks or face coverings indoors while on campuses in the cities of Houston, Sugar Land and Katy or in District offices beginning tomorrow, August 16th. Harmony will continue to provide masks for both students and employees upon request.
The health and safety of our students and staff continue to be a top priority. We will continue to keep you updated as new developments occur.
Thank you for helping keep everyone in our Harmony community safe.

Water Bottles for students
We would like to remind families to send their child to school with a reusable, refillable water bottle as our water fountains are touchless and can only refill water bottles. Disposable water bottles will not be issued to students, so please pack a bottle with students for school.
