Integrate Technology
Students as Producers in SCCPSS!
Ask yourself these questions......
How can we ensure that students really experience 21st century learning opportunities?
What matters to the businesses of the world?
How can we make a difference?
1. Connect. Amplify. Collaborate.
Connect with other teachers online. Join Facebook groups, Twitter Chats, build a PLN!
- Attend the Google Summer Institute on June 6th at New Hampstead High School! Register HERE!
- Follow your District Instructional Technology Coaches on social media @sccpssitc
- Listen to the G-Tribe Podcast - you'll be hooked!
- Join an Instructional Technology Learning Cohort in your district. Check out our course catalog!
- Share your student learning experiences publically through a blog, microblog, social media account, or website.
- Collaborate with other teachers and learn with others who are also pushing teaching and learning to the next level of innovation.
2. Join a global project.
The Global Kind Project http://linkis.com/theeducatorcollaborative.com/zDStP
The Global Math Project https://www.theglobalmathproject.org/
The Paradigm Challenge http://www.projectparadigm.org/
The Global Day of Design http://globaldayofdesign.com/
3. Encourage kids to learn about what matters to them
Learn more at www.geniushour.com
4. Encourage students to be producers instead of consumers....
Digital Portfolios are a great way for students to assess their own learning and set new goals.
The New Google Sites (sites.google.com) or SeeSaw (seesaw.me) are two easy platforms to manage student portfolios.
