In the Indus Valley people lived in mud houses, or what you would call mud-brick homes.
Thousands of years ago, there was even indoor plumbing in few homes.
Some think the Indus Valley people started declining around 1700 B.C., when hundreds of years later, the Aryans came.
Aryan's took control of the region and made their capital at Delhi.
People and Places
In India, there are several hundred languages spoken.
Most people speak Hindi, English, or even both.
India holds the birthplace of four religions; Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism.
Lifestyle
Folk dancers and acrobats take to the streets to so off their talents for the New Year.
For most people in India, they don't eat meat at all.
Indian children always war uniforms, white shirts and usually colored pants or skirts.
Society
India has 28 states.
More than half the adults work in farming.
Cities are almost always filled with the many buses, taxis, and motor scooters.
