MCNEAR LANGUAGE CLUB!
This fall, we are so proud to be offering a co-taught Spanish + English class. The class will be taught in both Spanish and English by two wonderful people with the hopes to help strengthen our school’s parent community.
Devanie Zarco Esquivel and Denise Spector will work together to teach one lesson plan designed around practical life topics. Students will work in pairs and have the chance to be both the teacher of their native language and the student in the language being learned. It will be a really fun way to get to know other parents and caretakers at our school.
Tuesday evenings 6:30-8pm, September 24 - December 10, Childcare will be provided
Application forms can be found in the office. This class will be a first come, first serve with 10 spots for native Spanish speaking adults and 10 spots for native English speaking adults. For any questions, comments or help, please contact Devanie or Laura, they will be happy to help! This class is free, all materials will be provided, paid for by the PTA.
PARENT ED NIGHT: CARING FOR OUR KIDS
Join us for a meaningful evening talking about the ways in which we can care for our kids. In an effort to raise awareness and better serve all students, we are looking forward to sharing with you the effects of ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences). Whether you’re volunteering in a classroom, facilitating a play date, or have experienced personal or family trauma, this evening is for you!
