truly, they are artists

There has been a lot happening in the art department at WHS. Working with the Community Foundation of Abilene, VFW Young American Patriotic Art Contest, Youth Art Month at the Grace Museum, Midwestern State University Art Competition and our annual VASE competition. Although things in the midst of Covid-19 have changed the way we do some things, we are getting our work out there and very proud of all the students who have worked so diligently to create great art! Join the Grace Museum on Facebook Live this Thursday, February 25th, for the opening Youth Art Month reception. Or come out any Saturday to the Grace to see all the wonderful works from WHS and area schools in person!

Have you caught someone being a Bulldog?

Have you caught a student or a WHS staff member "Being a Bulldog"? We want to hear about it!

What is being a Bulldog? The American Kennel Club describes a Bulldog as kind but courageous, full of tenacity, friendly, and loyal companions. It is fitting that we are the Wylie Bulldogs because those are the qualities we strive for our campus to exude.

We believe that it is important to recognize those that are examples of kindness, friendliness, loyalty, and courage. Students and staff members can be nominated by students, staff, and community members. It is the hope of WHS that Bulldogs will inspire other Bulldogs to continue to show these characteristics. Nominate someone here!
