High School Volleyball
Let's give a huge round of applause to our outstanding Clever Volleyball teams!
In the Mt. Vernon Tournament, our JV and Varsity squads truly shone, and we're thrilled to announce that Chandlyr Friend, Audrey Riley, and Tournament MVP Morgan Bos have been selected as All-Tournament players! What an incredible achievement! It's clear that their hard work, dedication, and passion for the game have paid off in spades.
Both our junior varsity and varsity teams showcased their immense talent and determination, capturing the Mt. Vernon tournament championships!
This week was a testament to the strength and unity of Clever Volleyball. We couldn't be prouder of our players, coaches, and the incredible support from our fans.

Junior High Volleyball
What an outstanding week it has been for our Junior High Lady Jays! Let's celebrate the incredible achievements of our talented teams:
8A dominated in the first round of the conference tournament, securing a fantastic victory against Fair Grove with scores of 25-11; 25-19! They may have come up short in the championship match against Strafford, but they gave it their all!
7A brought their A-game, triumphing over Skyline in the first round with scores of 25-21; 25-17! Their journey led them to the championship match against Fair Grove, where they fought valiantly in a close match, with scores of 22-25; 21-25.
7B hit the road to compete in the Buffalo tournament and showcased their skills with determination and heart!
As the Junior High season comes to a close, we couldn't be prouder of the progress and dedication of all our 34 players. Every single one of them improved and made a significant impact on the team, contributing to our successful season.
8th A finished with an impressive record of 16-2-1, and 7th B with a remarkable 15-2-1.
Additionally, our 7B team hit the road to compete in the Buffalo tournament. While they may not have come away with any wins, they improved significantly throughout the day, gaining valuable experience and playing 10 games!

High School Football
Our Varsity team gave it their all but unfortunately fell short to Ash Grove with a final score of 28-20. Our quarterback, Lane Mendenall, still put on a fantastic performance, going 9/15 with an impressive 148 passing yards and 1 touchdown. Quentin Lemmer bulldozed his way through the field with 22 carries, racking up 83 yards and scoring an epic touchdown. Touchdown!
Xavier Robinson, the unstoppable force, was everywhere! He caught 7 passes for 77 yards and found the end zone with a spectacular touchdown catch. But wait, that's not all! Xavier also made an incredible interception return for a touchdown. This guy does it all!
Landon Flood showcased his skills too, catching 2 passes for 71 yards and giving it his all on the field.
Even though we didn't come away with a win, the atmosphere in the stadium was absolutely awesome. Our fans were great the entire game, and the boys fought until the end with incredible determination. That's the spirit that makes our team truly special!

Junior High Football
A triumphant victory for our Clever Bluejays Junior High football teams!
In a thrilling showdown, Clever secured a 36-22 win against Ava, and our young athletes displayed exceptional talent and resilience on the field!
Breath-taking performances from our star players shone through:
Breckin Vestal with 2 Passing Touchdowns and 1 rushing TD.
Brently Lahey who powered through with 1 rushing TD and 1 receiving TD.
Blaine Abbot making his mark with one receiving TD and 1 passing TD.
Lane Eaton, lighting up the game with a spectacular TD reception!
But it wasn't just about the touchdowns. Our team played exceptionally well on both the offensive and defensive lines, showing grit and determination throughout the game. Huge kudos to Kenrick McClannahan and Brandon James for their dominant performances up front, setting the tone and paving the way for our success!

BlueJays Cross Country
Clever Cross Country rocked the Buffalo competition on Thursday, October 4th!
Our varsity girls crushed it, placing 2nd overall in an epic showdown! And here's the cherry on top – Chloe Smith delivered yet another incredible performance, setting a new all-time girls record time of 19:50!
What makes this even more impressive? Chloe is now officially the first female athlete to ever break the elusive 20-minute mark!

Lady Jays Golf
What an amazing achievement by our Lady Jays golf team!
In a field of 15 schools at the District tournament held at Cassville Country Club, our team shone brightly and secured a fantastic 6th-place finish.
A huge round of applause to junior Sophia Fields, who not only led the way but also earned well-deserved all-district honors! Sophia's exceptional skills on the course have propelled her to the State Tournament next week, set to take place at Twin Hills Golf & Country Club in Joplin. This marks the second time she has qualified for State, and we couldn't be prouder! Sophia shot a remarkable 103, showcasing her talent and dedication.
Let's also give a shoutout to the rest of our amazing team: Rylee Campbell with a score of 118, Laurel Wilson with 128, and Chloe Frazier with 141. Your hard work and commitment have been truly outstanding!
This is a testament to the skill and sportsmanship of our Lady Jays golf team. We'll be cheering Sophia on at the State Tournament and supporting our whole team every step of the way.
