From the Principal

We had a great time at Grandparents Day this morning. It was so fun to meet all of the grandparents/friends and enjoy breakfast and games. I posted some pictures below.Thank you to all that were able to join us.

This week, our air conditioning in the building went out. Parts will need to be ordered so it's going to be several weeks before it is fixed. We have fans in every room and in the hallways trying to make it as comfortable as possible for the students and staff. If you have seen the upcoming weather, you have probably seen the projected high temperatures for Monday and Tuesday. Please know that I am keeping an eye on the temperatures and will determine Monday and Tuesday morning around 10:30 AM if we need to release early. If we do release early, preschool will be released at their normal 11:30 AM time. The rest of the school would release at 1:30 PM. Nothing has been decided yet, I want to see what the temperature is on Monday/Tuesday morning in the building to make that judgement call. I would recommend having a possible plan in place if we do need to release early. If so, I will notify you by the OneCall system. Thank you for understanding.

Have a great weekend!

School Fees

School fees are due by September 30, 2021. The fee cost is $30 per student.

Masks

Jonathan Alder Masking Policy: Masks will be considered optional but strongly suggested, especially among our non-vaccinated population. Quarantine procedures will be guided by the Ohio Department of Health as outlined here.
Per federal mandate masks are to be worn on all public transportation, including school buses. This requirement is regardless of vaccination status.

Updated Food Services

Jonathan Alder will again participate in the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) waiver granted by the USDA. This program assists Jonathan Alder in providing breakfast and lunch to every student in the district free of charge. This program will remain in effect for the entire 2021-2022 school year. Extra milk will still cost $0.50. Free & Reduced Applications in Final Forms will need to be completed and approved to qualify for a fee waiver.
