6th Grade Outdoor Education

October 1, 2022 September Trip Photo Email

Welcome Home ODE Week 1!

Information for ODE Week 1:

I just received an email from the Alliance Redwoods Center with a link to purchase the class picture. Ours is not shown on the site, but you can order one to have a group picture for your child's week for their memories. Class Photo Link

We are working on setting up a secure link through the PTA Membership Toolkit to house all the photos chaperones and teachers took during the week

You will need to join PTA to get the password, once set up. (Everyone should join PTA, anyway!)

For ODE Week 2: Coming Soon October 24 to October 28

Clarification for the October group of chaperones.

We are not charging individual chaperones to attend the trip. This is being covered by the student fees. However, we have many more families in need and are hoping families will help us cover our families that can not afford to pay the total student fee for their child. We are offering this experience for all students.

If you are able, Please consider contributing more to cover the cost of parent chaperones and students that are unable to afford to pay the full amount. Thank you to the PTA for helping to offset the cost of transportation. Thank you for your contributions to help others in our 6th grade.

Please reach out if you have questions.

October Dads - We Need More Chaperones!

We will not be able to go to Outdoor Ed, if we do not have enough parents going!

Chaperones Are NEEDED!

We need parents to chaperone both trips - We can not go without the required 1:7 ratio.

October Trip Needs - 24 adults - 12 Males and 12 Females

Expectations for Chaperones:

  • Cabin groups stay together and with an adult at all times.
  • Chaperone must be with students when students are in the cabins, except during cabin clean up.

  • Lights out is from 10:00pm to 7:00am.
