There's an alternative technique that makes life easier for kids who struggle tying their own shoes, it's called the Cheerio Method. Below are a couple of videos to help you and your child out.

This new distance learning opportunity that we are all experiencing doesn’t come without it’s challenges. I have spoken with some of you and gotten messages from many of you about wifi hot spots and not having internet. As a district, we collected names of families that need wifi and that information has been forwarded to our tech department. As you can imagine, they are a little flooded with needs so their response time has not been as immediate as we might have wished for.
With that being said, I think that if a family is able to take advantage of one of the free internet offers from any of the companies below, that might be your best choice. Now, this may still take a few days as their businesses experience the rush of requests but we can be patient and keep busy offline for a few more days. There are plenty of fun learning opportunities throughout our daily lives that don’t need wifi.
Several internet providers are offering 60 days of free internet services to families that meet their income guidelines. If a family receives SNAP assistance or qualify for free/reduced lunches, they should qualify.

- AT&T expanded their eligibility for low income internet access
participation in the F/R lunch program now qualifies them for it now. If they apply before April 30 it’s free for 60 days then it’s $5 or $10 a month. https://m.att.com/shopmobile/internet/access/
These programs have been expanded during this time of social distancing and families will have the option to only utilize the service for 60 days or to continue service for approximately $10 monthly.
