What's Happening this Week?
What an amazing first week! Thank you all for your hard work to prepare our building, classrooms, spaces, etc. to welcome our 470 students. Our Grand Opening was a huge success and no one noticed the areas that were not finished. We are getting there. Please keep providing Jocelyne with concerns, broken items, or things not completed. I am working very hard to get ALL of our spaces cleaned and our punch list complete. I think I have managed to get the last bit of trash out of the building.
Please make sure you are following the Polser Outlook Calendar for important dates and events. Please join PTA and donate to LEF to receive a discount on your jeans; I would also like to have 100% PTA participation if possible. Payments for jeans need to be given to Jocelyne.
Thank you all for signing up for a month for faculty meeting snacks and luncheon or snacks in the lounge. Small teams, 4th and 5th grade, are welcome to pair up. This does not have to be huge.
Remember to sign up for a committee. If there is not a spot for your grade level, and you have not signed up, grade levels can have 2 representatives to fill the empty slots if needed, just change it on the spreadsheet.
Orientations will begin Monday, August 19th. We will sell house shirts for $5. Once all new students have spun, I will provide each classroom teacher with a list of their students and their houses. We kept track of students and houses from last year. Please note returning students will remain in the same house even if their teacher is no longer here. We will also start giving out behavior coupons to collect points beginning the week of August 26th. I will review information at the faculty meeting on Wednesday, August 21st at 3:30.
Please know I appreciate all of you and your hard work! I'm happy to see many of you took the weekend off this week!

- Jocelyne for organizing a spreadsheet for all our Construction issues, providing keys, troubleshooting, & supporting staff; the list goes on & on....
- Linnette for cleaning and organizing 204, Office, Lounge, & Workroom
- The aides that helped organize 204, PreK, Leveled Library, and all our other spaces
- Anabelle for registering, scheduling, correcting, collecting...to ensure all our students were registered and placed in a classroom

- Heather for working with SPED to find our missed PPCD/ECSE students
