Coker Handbook Tidbits-Complaints & Questions
Staff
Staff members are expected to be committed and professional at all times. They are responsible for certain practices and ethical conduct as outlined in the “Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.” If a staff member has a complaint, question, or suggestion about a matter, he/she is expected to collegially discuss it either with the person involved, the team leader, counselor, or with one of the administrators. Please do not complain to other people.
Parents
Coker Elementary parents are expected to contact the person(s) directly involved when they have a question or concern. If it involves a teacher, courtesy demands that the teacher be contacted first. Teachers need to make every reasonable effort to be available to discuss concerns with parents. If satisfaction is not achieved, then the principal, assistant principal, or counselor may be contacted.
