- Collaborative Planning Meetings during Planning
- Leadership Team Meeting 3-4
- Spirit week Dress Up: Character Day
- DUCT TAPE DR. FLORA TO THE WALL. $1.00 for a ticket.
Each grade will exchange ticket for tape and tape Dr. Flora
to a wall.
- Tickets will be sold before school and during lunch.
- Cross Country Practice 3-4:00
- Football Practice 3-5:15
- Wrestling Conditioning from 3-4:30 Meet in Mr. Winstead’s
room 226
- Girls Basketball Tryouts will be held Oct 1, 2, and 3 in the
SMALL GYM. You MUST have a current physical on file
BEFORE tryouts! You MUST be available all 3 days You
MUST have proper clothing and shoes.
- Grandparent meeting on October 1 at 12:00pm. All
grandparents invited!!
- Girls Inc. will be close 10-1 to 10-5
TUESDAY: October 2nd
- Spirit Day Dress Up: Superhero or Villains

- The organizational meeting for the National History Day
Competition will be in Mr. Mallick's room 307 at 7 AM on
Tuesday 10/2/18.
- Student Council meeting Tuesday, 3:00-3:40 in Mrs.
Wagner's room. Athletes & actors come dressed out, attend
meeting until 3:15, then join team/group.

- There will be a Sequoyah Scribe staff meeting from 2:45 to
3:30 pm on Wednesday after school in room 329. All staff
members are required to attend. Newspaper Editors and
Newscast staff members will meet until 5:15pm

October 5th Professional Learning Day Rough Plan Outline:
- ELA (7:30-3:00 at RNR)
- AM - Emily and Jessica: Student agency and Accountable Talk overview
- Instructional Tasks
- PM - writing scoring overview; team scoring
- Math (7:30-3:00 at RNR in Sunshine Light's classroom)
- IFL-Consultant led
- Science (7:30-3:00 -at Sevier in the library)
- Science teachers will be in the library at Sevier from 7:30-3:00. The morning will be focused on providing support to teachers (Laurie and Wendy). They will model a Science lesson in Canvas using the 5E framework. Also, teachers will spend time ensuring understanding of the Quizzes feature in Canvas and get an overview of Nearpod.

We are at 26, so please have them register ASAP - capacity is 30 per the facilitator. If you choose to do options 2 or 3 from previous options, let me know.

JSMS Action Team
To Action Team Leaders: If you have not already had your first Action Team with your team this year, please:
1. Schedule an action team to take place before the end of the nine weeks. Once scheduled, please notify Erika so that it is on the main calendar and can be shared in the announcements.
2. Looking at the document below, invite members of the action team identified as members.
3. During the meeting, use the agenda located in the JSMS Team Drive-Action Teams: If your action team has not already done so, please develop the purpose of your team together and write it in at the appropriate place on the agenda. Develop/Update 3 Goals of your team for the 2018-2019 school-year. Please have a scribe take notes for the minutes and and save as the date the meeting took place.
4. Following an Action Team meeting, please share minutes with the entire staff. If needed, please email Holly to report out on work/action steps during the next Leadership Team Meeting
