Knowledge Bowl 2016
Janitell Junior High made a clean sweep at the 2016 Knowledge Bowl taking first place in each grade level. In 6th grade, Watson took 2nd and Sproul took 3rd. In 7th grade, Sproul took 2nd and Watson took 3rd. In 8th grade, Sproul took 2nd and Watson 3rd. Congratulations to all students who participated. It takes a lot of courage and confidence to get on stage, let alone answer questions under pressure.
WHS Teacher Receives National Recognition
Stephanie Owen, English teacher and Forensics coach at Widefield High School, has been awarded the Diamond Coach Award by the National Speech & Debate Association. She is the only teacher in Colorado to receive this prestigious award for her excellence and longevity in speech and debate. Stephanie will be recognized at the world's largest academic competition in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 16, 2016.

January is school board appreciation month. Our dedicated board members volunteer countless hours to help make a positive learning environment for our staff and students. Thank you Charron Schoenberger, Susan Graham, Theresa Watson, Sue Mitchell, and Jim Boudreau for your hard work and compassion.

Both high schools will be selling pre-sale tickets to the games for $3 adults and $2 students.
