English Learners
Hello CPA families! My name is Jennifer Carrete and I am the EL Coordinator for CPA. Stay tuned for information about becoming a member of our DELAC Board.
CPA has several support options for our English Learner Students. Please work with your HST to develop a plan that will best meet the needs of your child on their path to become proficient in English. See here for the different options available. Parents on Course
Cabrillo Point Academy presents Parent on Course for the 21-22 school year! Parents on Course consists of workshops offered by outside guest speakers as well as the incredible talent and wealth of knowledge we have here on staff. Each workshop will be designed to support our parents with some facet of their child’s education and overall well-being. The workshops will address academics, curriculum, social-emotional health, behavior, technology, school knowledge, and many other topics that will engage parents and support them in navigating the educational journey with their child/ren. Please visit our Parents on Course webpage in the Beehively Parent website for a monthly calendar of events and Zoom Links to Access!
Special Education
Enrichment
IMPORTANT REMINDER: All students must have a signed Master Agreement (MA) on file in order for Enrichment and Curriculum orders to be processed. Please work with your HST to sign and submit your student’s MA, if you have not already. If MAs are not on file by September 13th, student planning amounts will be frozen until this piece is in place.
Please note that Masterclass courses are not able to be purchased. The vendor now only offers an all access subscription, and unfortunately, not all courses that are included are appropriate for the school to purchase.
Field Trips and Events
In-Person Field Trips
We are very excited to be able to start offering field trips again. We appreciate everyone's feedback regarding the changes made to our policies since we last offered field trips.
After re-evaluating the policies, we have agreed to allow non-enrolled siblings under the age of 2 to attend field trips, provided the venue permits children under the age of 2. If there is any ticket cost for children under 2, the family will need to purchase those tickets directly from the venue.
Due to limited space and availability, we must ask that chaperones are limited to one per family. Depending on the venue, it may be possible for the family to purchase additional tickets directly from the venue. Any tickets purchased directly from the venue may be a higher cost and will be separate from the school field trip.
To sign up for an in-person field trip, please take a look here: CPA Field Trips & Events Hub
Families will log into the Field Trip & Events (FTE) Hub using the same login/password as their regular Homeschool Hub account.
September field trips will open for booking on Wednesday, September 8th at 10 am.
October field trips will open for booking on Wednesday, September 15th at 10 am.
COVID GUIDELINES & PROTOCOLS: All staff must follow the specified COVID protocols for symptom screening before participating in any school-organized field trip. Please let us know immediately if you're scheduled to facilitate a field trip and you are ill or showing possible signs of illness.
Field trips are considered an extension of the school; therefore, we are required to follow local county and state COVID guidelines, in addition to the venue's COVID guidelines.

Hi, I am a Mother of 4 sons, and grandma of 3 little ones. I learned about homeschooling about 5 years ago and I loved the whole concept. I homeschooled my youngest son and he loved it! I wish I had known this way of teaching when my other sons were little. I love helping families to thrive, and be successful! I am here to help you in any way I can.
