Worthingway Middle School Updates
As the winter holidays approach, our support for families increases. I am fortunate to work with a PTA and school staff who strongly believe in supporting families and students in times of needs. Amidst the global pandemic, the needs have increased. We do not fundraise at our middle school, in the traditional sense. Instead, a great deal of our school fundraising comes from restaurant nights/events.
We partner with local restaurants for a percent back on all purchases for a particular evening or amount of purchases. This funding goes to our PTA, which then goes directly to supporting families in need. You will see two such restaurant nights referenced below. One, on Wednesday, 11/18, at the Campus View Chipotle location and one in conjunction with the Honey Baked Ham store. Hopefully you find time to visit Chipotle on Wednesday and/or use Honey Baked Ham for your holiday meals. Doing so will help a number of our Worthingway families. A big thank you to our Worthingway PTA and to Veena Gopolakrishna for reaching out to area restaurants and setting up our restaurant nights/events. A lot of work goes into this effort and our school is very appreciative!
Thank you for your support and have a great weekend.
