Upgrades, Technology Needs Assessment, and Elementary Literacy
We recently deployed a Technology Needs Assessment to all of our families through a Google Form. Based upon the results of the assessment, we feel confident that we can take care of all of the current need in our community with access to a device and internet. We are currently following up with our families to provide them with the needed technology. If you are aware of any technology needs for our students, please communicate the needs to your building principal.
Coming soon to the elementary level will be access to Pioneer Valley's Digital Reader to support guided and independent reading. I anticipate rolling out access to for faculty and students in the next two weeks, so again please stay tuned for more information. We would like to thank the elementary leadership team and our Literacy coaches for their collaboration in determining the best digital resource that will support our youngest learners in learning to read so they can read to learn. Great job Team!
Open Enrollment and Flexible Spending Accounts
With the leaves changing from green to orange and red and the winds changing from warm to cool, it is no wonder you often hear that fall is the season of change.
In the Business Office, fall is also a time to think about open enrollment and flexible spending accounts. All staff received an important email on October 28th with attachments from the town that outline some important plan changes to flexible spending accounts. Please familiarize yourself with these changes and submit the necessary paperwork to the town by November 24th if you choose to participate in this benefit.
