The 19th Amendment
Womens right to vote
This event was passed on June 4th, 1919, and it strictly gives any women the right to vote in public office. Starting in the 1800's women argued, and petitioned the right to vote. But it wasn't until 1920 that the law changed and the 19th Amendment was added. The North and South eventually split into two different sides with two different views on who can vote.
