William H McGuffey

He was born in 1800 and died in 1873 at the age of 73. He attended at Jefferson and Washington college after starting teaching at the age of 14. His dad left him when he was two years old. He got married and had 5 children. He was a writer. He wanted to show tradtional ways that teaching wasn't easy. He said "everything stood bad in that type of army." Wrote motivating articles, he had sold about 122 million of them. In Miami Unversity there is a hall under his name. He died at the age 73 of old age.

William H Mcguffey started teaching at the age of 14. While he was teaching he was still being educated from a private tutor. He was also attending a philosophy and language class at Washington College.

He married Harriet Spinning of Dayton, Ohio, with her they had 5 kids. In 1829 he was ordained at Bethel Chapel as a minister.
William H McGuffey's Book
He wrote articles to classical selections, homely aphrosims, and patriotic message that set a dour tone of piety. It was in Oxford where he created his articles, the most important tribute in his life.
