SJS CELEBRATES NATIONAL CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK
National Catholic Schools Week (CSW) is an annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. Now entering its 49th anniversary year, CSW has traditionally been held the last week in January. Schools typically observe the week with Masses, assemblies, and other activities for students, families, parishioners, and community members to celebrate.
This year’s theme is Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service.
Father Stephen invites all families, faculty, and staff to join together on Sunday, January 29 at 10:00 for family Mass.
Parents, guardians, and other family members play a vital role in Catholic education. Not only do they volunteer at the school, but they also instill values and expectations for academic excellence in their children at home. We acknowledge the role of families in Catholic education and celebrate their contributions to the success of our schools on the last day of National Catholic Schools Week, and all year long.
Let’s make it a great Catholic Schools Week!
Scholastic Book Fair
Our annual Scholastic Book Fair will once again be held during Catholic
Schools Week. This is a great opportunity for our students to build their home
libraries and further their love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our
school.
We are excited to host this year’s fair during our Open House/Science Night on
Tuesday, January 31 st . Why not stop by to view the fair with your children. It
will have hundreds of titles that are not on the take home flyer.
Students will be allowed to preview books during library classes. To purchase
books during the school day, please send your child in with their wish list and
payment (cash or check) in an envelope or plastic bag. Please add 6.25% for
Massachusetts taxes.
Children can purchase books at the school fair, or you can shop online. Although
the school “profit” will be slightly different at the Scholastic Store online, you can
make a purchase by clicking on the link on our Book Fair Homepage.
Our Book Fair also offers eWallet, a safe and secure alternative to cash. Simply
create a free account to add funds and/or invite family and friends to contribute so
your child can select their own books. Children will be guided through spending
the funds in their accounts. Change for unused funds cannot be given at the fair.

What is the St Joseph Glow Run?
The St Joseph Glow Run is a 10-day program and is this semester’s biggest fundraiser, taking place on 02/17/2023. Families will be getting donations for the laps their student completes at the St Joseph Glow Run. Funds raised from this event go toward a new playground structure! Our goal is to raise $20,000!
