Rascal Shirt Sale!
This year we have a special hybrid-learning version!
Each shirt shows our Rascal Mascot (Jerry the Racoon) attending school on the computer, with our 2020-21 motto: "Rascals Together Even When Apart!".
The image will be contained in a white circle, center-front on a black t-shirt.
Follow this link to place your order on our Parent Teacher Club website: https://www.salemheightsptc.org/salem-heights-2020-shirts
If you prefer to pay using cash or check, watch for paper order forms to come home with your students after Spring Break.
At this time we are not shipping shirts to individual addresses, all shirt orders will be delivered to the school and sent home with students.

PERSONAL SAFETY
Dear Salem Heights Parent or Guardian,
Earlier this school year you were mailed a letter from Salem -Keizer School District explaining the health education program that each school in the district takes part in. The health program focuses on 4 specific personal health and safety lessons.
Salem Heights has chosen to complete the majority of our lessons during the months of April and May. Each class will have their own set schedule and will engage in two lessons per week for two weeks. Mrs. Erland (Salem Heights School Counselor) will teach each of the lessons with support from your student's classroom teacher.
Salem-Keizer School District is using curriculum from the following organization: https://fightchildabuse.org/. Please feel free to preview the website and videos.
If you have questions about the curriculum, concerns about your student, or would like opt your child out of any of the lessons. Please contact: erland_pamela@salkeiz.k12.or.us
Sincerely,
Sarah Theis Principal

Reminder Regarding School-Appropriate Masks
There has been a lot of confusion about which masks are appropriate for school. The basic rules are that masks must cover nose and mouth, must be two layers thick, and cannot have a vent.
Below are some masks that often don't meet these requirements, although double layer neoprene and double layer gaiters are ok. Our school always has disposable masks on hand for students who forget their mask, or don't have one that follows district rules.
For further questions, check out the CDC guidelines here:
